It’s true. This is the 1,000th post here on the Snoloha Barefoot & Exposed Blog.
Crazy. I think.
As I think about the ups and downs of growing Snoloha and this over-connected, 140 character, give-it-to-me-now, hashtag world we live in…I’ve actually been using a good old fashion pen / pencil and sketchbook more than ever lately for planning, creative and strategy. Plus, my daughter has a chalkboard in her toy room…as a result I’ve found myself drawing more (for her entertainment of course, not mine. Or is it?). The same goes with creating with Play-Doh and coloring books and reading Dr. Seuss books and watching WAY TOO MUCH Disney. Being a dad has forced me to re-visit things that I enjoyed growing up. Being a dad brings the kid back out…growing up and responsibilities had gotten in the way at some point.
All this, in addition to working with a very talented artist friend, is the catalyst behind this new and exciting path for Snoloha that I’ve been working on. It’s quite a departure from trying to just peddle clothing, that’s for sure. The clothing’s not going anywhere..the direction of telling the Snoloha story is.
He’s a child to the end
What a joy
When you are your best friend
The world’s such a toy
If you just stay a boy
You just spin it again and again
