It’s my birthday today.  39 years young.  No big deal.  Not one of the cool ones, like 18 or 21 or the big 4-0.  Just another trip around the sun.

It’s fun to reflect though, and I think having a 3-year-old daughter makes it even more fun.  You know kids, they get a kick out of birthdays, so you end up getting a bigger kick out of ’em too, hopefully.

One of the things that I often think about, especially on a birthday, is how the past has impacted my decision(s) with Snoloha and my never ending obsession with human-beings and work (why we do what we do during our time on this big blue ball…mostly why we settle on something instead of pursuing what really makes us happy).

I really haven’t come up with a satisfying answer yet.  Perhaps next year, when I’m even wiser.  Although the photograph below sheds some light.  I mean, look at that outfit…it has casual, relaxed and laid-back Snoloha written all over it.

For now..

I’m just hanging on while this old world keeps spinning
And it’s good to know it’s out of my control
If there’s one thing that I’ve learned from all this living
Is that it wouldn’t change a thing if I let go

No, you never see it coming
Always wind up wondering where it went
Only time will tell if it was time well spent
It’s another revelation
Celebrating what I should have done
With these souvenirs of my trip around the sun
