I have not heard from Buffett or his attorneys..yet. But I have heard from some of you when I asked “If the song were to go “Wastin’ away again in Snolohaville”…what does “Snolohaville” look like when you close your eyes and envision it? (full post here).

Here’s a sampling:

“I can imagine a beach with a tiki bar, a couple old salts sitting there and telling stories and lies about the old Navy. Off in the distance are snow covered mountains, just a quick ski lift ride away. A couple jeeps in the parking lot have snowboards tied right next to surfboards. You get it all in one spot and you ask the bartender why there aren’t more people who have found this place. But the bartender just smiles and gives you a wink and says they have, they’re just in there own town of Snolohaville, maybe its just across the road… and he puts another margarita in front of you, already sweating with the heat but still remaining ice-cold. And you take a sip and think, maybe I’ll check that other town out…tomorrow. ~ Dani”

“A beautiful fall day, about 68 degrees, in a hammock on top of Boyne Mountain with not a soul around…oh, wait. Here comes my cabana boy up the hill with my favorite, a chilled glass of Brix from Bowers Harbor Vineyard. Birds chirping, a brilliant blue sky with big, puffy clouds and the beauty of Michigan’s fall colors. Summer is over but winter is not quite here…Perfect! ~Jacquelyn”

“I envision Snolohaville as.being kicked back in a hammock, on a beach, gazing across crystal blue water to an island with sno-capped mountains in the distance..cheers!! ~ Bill”

“To me, it of course includes a year-around beach where it’s sunny and warm, with a boat. But, to meet my other requirement, it also has a downhill ski resort resembling Red Lodge in Montana with year-around snow. That way, you can ski down the slope, step into the lodge at the bottom of the snow-covered mountain, and step out the other side into a tropical paradise. Granted, a meteorological impossibility, but a darn good dream nonetheless.” ~ Darrel

Choosing a winner of the one-of-a-kind, beat-beat-up and broken-in Wastin’ Away Snoloha zip hoodie was pretty tough. In fact, everyone is gonna win something. So a big THANKS everyone, for your participation. Keep an eye on your mailbox for a little Snoloha gear coming your way.

Steel drum roll please…and the winner is:

DANI – This pretty much summed up the Snoloha concept AND the escapism element at the same time…and I love this ” you ask the bartender why there aren’t more people who have found this place. But the bartender just smiles and gives you a wink and says they have, they’re just in there own town of Snolohaville, maybe its just across the road… and he puts another margarita in front of you, already sweating with the heat but still remaining ice-cold. And you take a sip and think, maybe I’ll check that other town out…tomorrow.”

I believe Dani is a repeat winner…that’s probably suppose to be against the rules. But oh well…I not a fan of too many rules anyhow.

Thanks again, Dani…send photos!
