Savannah talks to statues

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

This past month has been pretty crazy…not only has there been lots happening in the world of Snoloha, but the addition of a baby to our household has really made things a bit more interesting (in a good way).

And since I cannot for the life of me come up with a blog post today, I’m taking the easy route out…posting some Jimmy Buffett lyrics.

I guess this would be a good time to link to the Snoloha Baby onsies…tell ya what, buy a onsie and get FREE shipping. Easy at that! Actually, you have to use the code “snobaby” as the Discount Code during checkout…but it’s still pretty easy.

“Delaney Talks to Statues”
I’ve changed “Delaney” to “Savannah”…this is one of her favorites that she like me to sing to her (awwww…isn’t that special).

“Savannah talks to statues
As she dances ’round the pool
She chases cats through roman ruins
And stomps on big toadstools
She speaks a language all her own
That I cannot discover
But she knows I love her so
When I tuck her ‘neath the covers

Father, daughter
Down by the water
Shells sink, dreams float
Life’s good on our boat

Savannah draws me pictures
She finger paints the sand
We chase the dogs and hop like frogs
Then I do my bad handstand
She’s growing up too fast for me
And asking lots of questions
Some I know the answers to
And some I’m looking for suggestions

Father, daughter
Born by the water
Surf’s up, sun’s down
Life in a beach town”

Again…use “snobaby” and receive FREE shipping when you buy a Snoloha Baby Onsie.

Everyone Likes a Sale

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

There are still some lingering Snoloha shirts that I’ve been staring at for way too long. I think they are beginning to mock me. I think maybe they are afraid to leave the comforts of their shelf, unsure of what kind of owner they will get. I assure each one as it’s packed into a cardboard box that change is good and that a good home awaits and that their daddy will always love them…okay, maybe the new baby in the house is effecting (affecting?) my brain.

What I’m trying to say is…It’s simple…all On Sale gear is 50% off. Remember, there is flat rate shipping for $5.00 and if you spend $50.00 or more, shipping is FREE.

Sizes are somewhat limited, but if you dig deep enough I’m sure you’ll find something you gotta have.

G’head…shopping at a discount is fun. Shopping while at work is even funner (uh, more fun). Shopping for Snoloha is, well, there are no words to describe it. Okay, ‘fun’ works.

P.S. If for some reason the 50% off prices are not reflected, shoot me a note because once on a while this darn shopping cart likes to try and play jokes with me…shopping carts are not meant to be funny, so I’m not sure why this one thinks it is.

New Snoloha Kids T’s

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

It’s been awhile since I’ve had any NEW kids t’s on the site…well, the wait is over for all you kids that regularly read this blog and shop online. Go get your parents and tell ‘em to break out the credit card for the Palm Tree Chair Lift (pink) or the Snoloha Island (white).

Don’t forget, the SnoMon design is also available so check ‘em out here.

Also don’t forget to get your parents permission before making a purchase…are you even suppose to be on the Internet? This is a weird place for kids to be…not here on Snoloha, but the Internet in general. Once you get your new Snoloha t-shirt…go outside and get it dirty.

Hey Ladies

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

There are a couple of new t’s on the site for all you gals out there who have been sitting by the computer anxiously awaiting his call…I mean anxiously awaiting to shop.

The “Escape” T is quickly becoming a crowd favorite. The gals love it. Not sure if it’s the color or the design…or if, perhaps, you gals really need an escape!

Then there is the new and improved “Snoloha Island” (this is the original full color logo design). We’ve given it a distressed look and softened it up a bit.

Snoloha on Display

Friday, July 2nd, 2010

For any of you Snoloha fans and customers who happen to live in Traverse City or who will be visiting during next week’s Cherry Festival (or anytime throughout the summer)…be sure to stop in at the Boyne Country Sports store on the corner of Front & Union.

Welcoming you as you enter the front doors is their new Snoloha gear, and they have a GREAT selection of guys, gals and lil’ ones. In fact the funny thing is I’m going to end up doing a little shopping because we’ve got designs in that store that have never been printed before and are not on the website.

Gear also arrived at the Boyne Country Clothiers shop located inside the Inn at Bay Harbor. I’m looking forward to visiting the store next week and will post pics then. So for all you Bay Harbor folks…be sure to swing in and pick up some Snoloha gear.

By the way…select designs have “Traverse City” and Bay Harbor” printed on them as well.

Thanks to Brian, Kelly, Jessie and the whole gang for the sweet display…now we just have to sell it!

Snoloha Cooler / Koozie Combo

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

Cooler season is in full swing. You probably have a cooler out in the garage or down in the basement…but you know how dirty is. It probably hasn’t been cleaned out since last cooler season.

There are still a few left, so now’s the perfect time to snag a new Snoloha Cooler. We tested this during a sailing trip. It comfortably held the 18 cans of adult beverages and a whole bag of ice that we brought along. I’m confident it will also hold bottles of water, limes, margarita mix, a $5.00 Foot Long, fresh fruit or whatever else you may want to bring along to the beach, on the boat, to the park, to a cookout…or to work.

Here’s the bonus…buy a Snoloha Cooler and get a couple of FREE Snoloha Beverage Cold Temperature Insulators, also known as Can (or bottle) Koozies.

Buying Baby Clothes

Friday, June 25th, 2010

When I first launched Snoloha, my sister (and others) kept bugging me to offer baby clothes. I didn’t understand what the big deal was. Eventually, I caved. And to my surprise, the baby stuff sold really well.

We have our first baby due in mid-July…and I now understand why she (and others) kept bugging me. People like to buy baby clothes, simple as that. Heck, I’ve already bought her a Life is Good shirt, a Detroit Tigers jacket and a University of Michigan girly outfit of some sort. It’s a weird, sort of fun addiction that I never quite understood until now.

There still needs to be a much better selection (and there will be), but for now there are new Snoloha Baby onsies available on the site. And for those who live near, or will be visiting, Traverse City or Bay Harbor (Michigan) this summer…each Boyne Country Sports store not only will have the onsies, but also rompers and t-shirts.

Here’s Lil’ Adel at Bay Breeze Yacht Charters sporting her Snoloha gear…and her old man hair cut. She’s a very happy baby…I think it’s because she loves her Snoloha gear. Though I guess it could be that she has a very loving mom. But it’s probably because she hasn’t realized yet that her dad is Capt. Dave and she’s doomed as long as he sticks around.

New Goodies

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

Some new goodies showed up yesterday…Koozies, Travel Mugs and H20 Bottles. I’m not sure where the Margarita Glasses are…I’ve sent a note to the supplier, stand by.

These will be going on the site later today or tomorrow for you all to purchase.

Bummer-Free Shipping

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

High shipping fees while shopping online are a bummer. Snoloha is not supposed to be a bummer brand…it’s supposed to be the opposite of bummer (what is the exact opposite of bummer anyway?).

So I’ve tried to make shipping as bummer-free as possible with $5.00 Flat Rate Shipping on ALL orders and FREE shipping on orders over $50.00 or more.

G’head…shop away and don’t get bummed out when it comes to high shipping fees at checkout. You would think that delivering orders via a sea plane in the Virgin Islands would cost more than $5.00.
