Promos & Free Shipping

Monday, October 26th, 2009

I’ve got a handful of promos going and thought it made sense to condense them into one post for easy viewing.

  • First, all short sleeve T’s (guys & gals) are still $15.00. They will most likely stay at that price in order to make room for all the new gear that is currently in the works. Again, sizes are getting limited so snatch ‘em up while you can.
  • Second, the guys long sleeve GOGGLES design (a personal favorite) is still available for only $18.00.
  • Third, buy a pair of Lounge Pants (guys or gals) and get a free Snoloha coffee mug or pint glass. Shoot me a note after your purchase with which beverage holding device you prefer. Also, I cannot be held responsible for any lack of productivity that will most likely result after wearing said garment…especailly when paired with a Snoloha beverage holding device. You were warned. Prepare to lounge.
  • Lastly, because I’m feeling generous (and I’m in a good mood since we leave in a week for the Virgin Islands…more on that later) get FREE SHIPPING with purchases of at least $50.00.

Wow, I think there’s a little something there for everyone.

As always, thanks for supporting and living the Snoloha Lifestyle.

And, don’t forget to follow Snoloha (Rod..that’s me) on Twitter, or become a Fan on Facebook. Go ahead, it makes me feel good to have Twitter followers and Facebook Fans.

Lounging with a drink

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

It’s that time of year. We are heading into winter. The sun is setting earlier. It’s cold. It’s wet.

It is the PERFECT time of year for a pair of Snoloha Lounge Pants. Throw ‘em on first thing in the morning with a hot cup of coffee and at night while enjoying a cold beer.

Actually the hard part is putting something else on. In fact, these things are so comfy that I had to draft a far-from-legal statement/release that reads:

“Snoloha can not be held responsible for a lack of productivity or sudden urge to just “lounge” and relax while wearing these Lounge Pants. Further, Snoloha can only recommend each customer to occasionally wash said garment, though the thought of not wearing them for any period of time is hard to accept, the eventual smell of constant lounging without washing may become offensive.”

So here’s the deal…but a pair of Guys or Gals Lounge Pants and get a FREE Snoloha coffee mug or a Snoloha pint glass. But you have to shoot me a quick note after your purchase to let me know which type of beverage holding device you prefer, and it’ll be included with your order.

More Snapshots & Scenery

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

I received these pics via text message from my buddy “Weave” on Saturday while watching some college football with some buddies.

One of his messages said he wanted to make it into the Snoloha catalog. It takes a lot to make it as a male Snoloha model…there’s a strenuous training program to go through and not all the wannabe male models make it.

However becoming an online model is much easier…it’s the internet, so everything is easier and more accessible. So here’s your big break Weave…instant internet stardom.

Thanks for the pics!

Snapshots & Scenery

Monday, October 19th, 2009

These photos always make my day. This shot of a Snoloha sticker was sent in from Christopher on his Snoloha Community profile, as he puts it “sharing the lifestyle on either side of my car.”

I’ve had some great shots sent in over the last couple of weeks, so choosing a winner for October is gonna be tough.

To win Snoloha gear by sharing your Snapshots & Scenery pics…there are several ways to share your photos:

1. Visit the Snoloha Community. Create a profile. Upload photos.
2. Visit the Snoloha Facebook Page. Become a fan. Upload photos.
3. Send them to me via email.
4. Use a shot of you in your Snoloha gear as a profile pic on one of your social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, etc)! And make sure you let me know about it.

What if you don’t have any Snoloha gear yet? (yes, I can read your mind) No problemo mon! Pics of your Snoloha lifestyle are acceptable as well.

Gals…here ya go.

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

A couple of days ago I posted the pre-order offer on the new Snoloha Campus Jeep caps (click that link, or just scroll down a bit). I was informed by several ladies that there should be one for gals offered. As is usually the case…they were right and I was wrong.

Unfortunately the company I’m working with on these hats doesn’t offer anything too “girly” (I’m probably not suppose to use that term). So, after getting some input, there is also going to be a grey with pink embroidery available.

So again…PRE-ORDER for only $15.00!

All you have to do is shoot me a note and let me know which one and how many. Don’t worry about payment until they are in stock and I get ready to ship (I’ll email you to let you know).

Snoloha in the Bahamas

Monday, October 12th, 2009

A while back I posted an inside look at the screen print operation owned and operated by Dave…I mean “Screen Print Dave.” One of the fun things during the screen print process is printing “one of a kinds” that are not available for sale.

On a recent fishing trip to the Bahamas, Screen Print Dave was sporting his (one of a kind) short sleeve “Goggles” design. The piece that is available for sale is a long sleeve version, but after seeing the short sleeve…well, I think we are gonna have to make an adjustment.

Since it’s fall and winter is on the horizon…it’s seems like a perfect time to offer the long sleeve Goggle design at a special price. So pick up one for yourself or as a gift for only $18.00…it’ll make you look as handsome and happy as Screen Print Dave.

And if you need to block your head from the sun (sorry Dave, that was too easy) notice in the second photo he’s sporting a Snoloha fitted hat and showing off a dolphin fish that he caught.

Pre-Order New Campus Jeep Caps

Friday, October 9th, 2009

I’ve got a bunch of new Snoloha winter hats for your noggin’ on the way. One of the new additions to the selection are the Campus Jeep Caps. But don’t worry, you don’t have to be on a campus to wear them…nor do you need to drive a Jeep.

I’m excited about these. The regular price will be $22.00.

BUT…if you want one of your own to keep your melon warm this winter, while also looking uber cool (is that the right use of the word “uber”? I really don’t even know what it means), or if your looking for a Christmas gift for that dreaded office party or the in-law that you don’t know and whose name you’ll most likely draw…PRE-ORDER for only $15.00!

All you have to do is shoot me a note and let me know which one and how many. Don’t worry about payment until they are in stock and I get ready to ship (I’ll email you to let you know).

Thanks…

A Little Re-read

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

I’m looking at my analytics and noticing traffic still from that MSN article that ran a while back…which is pretty cool to see.

If you’ve not seen it before, and are in the mood for some light reading….here ya go.

My favorite part is the line:

“Inspired by Jimmy Buffett, the founder finds a niche selling the laid-back lifestyle.”

I haven’t read this article in a while. It felt really good to reread it. PR is a funny thing. As a business owner it’s exciting. And in my experience, the end result is coverage littered with inaccuracies and misquotes. However, Rich Sloan and the gang at StartupNation really did and excellent job with this article. It has definitely been the most accurate portrayal of Snoloha.

I have that article to thank for exposing the brand to Oliver in Spain, which lead to several months of back-and-forths to the eventual signing of a licensing agreement for Snoloha throughout the European Union (which we are making strides with, by the way).

Now…I need to get another one. Maybe a sit down with Matt Lauer…or Al Roker (yes, Al always makes me laugh)!

When you think about Snoloha

Monday, October 5th, 2009

Earlier this summer I wondered what one word people thought of, when they thought of Snoloha. I still wonder this pretty much everyday. Now, I’m planning on turning this into a collection of t-shirts. I have A LOT of words and sayings in my head that I’d like to use, but I’d really like to get a feel for your thoughts as well.

So, here again is the question:

“When you think about Snoloha, what do you think about?”

Give me one word. One sentence. One paragraph. Whatever it takes.

Here’s all my contact info…minus the pager – http://www.snoloha.com/learn-more/contact.html (Twitter & Facebook links are on the right)

What’s in it for you? My undying appreciation and gratitude. Not enough, is it?

Well, if it makes it into the collection…you’ll get your own shirt and recognition. There might have to be some blah, blah, blah legal mumbo jumbo to agree to that would give me the right to use your words…but we can cross that bridge when/if we come to it.

A Little Entrepreneurial Rant

Monday, October 5th, 2009

I regularly receive emails from folks who enjoy learning and reading about Snoloha, and the story behind it. And most of the time they mention the thought of starting their own business, being their own boss and how reading this blog and my story helps inspire them. Yes, I know that sounds crazy. But it’s true. People are unhappy with their jobs (or they are losing them). So if Snoloha (and my story of starting the brand) helps in any way whatsoever to inspire another to act on their entrepreneurial dreams…I’ll take that any day. Conversely, if Snoloha helps them deal with life in that cubicle…I’ll take that as well. Escapism is a real thing (does that even make sense?)

Is it easy (entrepreneurship)? NO. Not at all.
Is it rewarding? Yep.

Here’s a good quote from Entrepreneur.com that I just read this morning:

In my 40 years of running businesses, I’ve found that the greatest comfort is often found in the middle of a vast herd of sheep, all moving in the same direction. They can all console themselves that their judgment was no worse than everyone else’s. However, the greatest opportunities and profits are found on paths least traveled–or where there was no path at all before you came along. Are you in business for comfort or for profit?
