Homework

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

Okay you Snoloha fans. Any of you that bought Snoloha as Christmas gifts now have homework! I need photos! Send ‘em in…there might be something in it for you. And it’ll be more than just appreciation.

You can either visit the Snoloha Community, create a quick profile and upload the photos yourself…or send ‘em to me.

Are you my friend?

Monday, December 29th, 2008

Are you my friend? Do you follow me?

Does it sound like I have security issues? Maybe I need to see a professional.

But really, I’m wondering if you’ve been to my (Snoloha’s) Facebook page and/or Twitter profile (or click on the logos to the right in the sidebar). If not, it’ll only take a second. And once you’re there, send a friend request and follow me…it’ll make me feel better about myself. Also, moving ahead in 2009, both these platforms will be used quite a bit more for Snoloha info and promos.

And if you’re at work, and they block social networking sites…that sucks! How do you get thru the day? It can’t be with regular ole personal emails. Tell me you at least have access to YouTube?!

International Update

Saturday, December 27th, 2008

For those that didn’t already know, the Snoloha brand is being launched across the Atlantic throughout Europe. About a year ago, I was contacted by a gentlemen located in southern Spain along the coast of the Mediterranean. His distribution company was interested in becoming the exclusive distributor for Snoloha. After doing my homework, I quickly realized I was not interested in the exporting business. So, we began to discuss a licensing deal. After a few months of back-and-forth negotiations, the agreement was signed earlier this year.

I spoke to my licensee just before the holidays for a quick update on life and business in Spain. Growth has been slower than we had both anticipated. However, the global economic crisis is something we didn’t anticipate either. Our original plan was to grow the brand throughout Spain, then eventually into other European countries. But given the economic climate we are now faced with, those plans have changed. Yes, growth in Spain is still ongoing. But we are now looking at reps and retailers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. There are current talks with a distribution company in Germany, which is exciting. Overall, the feedback has been very positive from the folks that have been introduced to the brand in Europe. I’ve received one of the very first Snoloha t-shirts produced in Spain, and the quality is great. 2009 should be an exciting year for Snoloha International.

Merry Christmas

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008

Since I’m hoping to “unplug” for a couple of days, I thought I’d wish everyone a Merry Christmas and safe travels throughout the next few days.

“And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow,
stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons.
It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags.
And he puzzled and puzzled ’till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before.
What if Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store.
What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.”

A Snoloha Snowshoe

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

The snow just keeps falling here in northern Michigan. I should invest into a snowblower, but I tell myself “it’s a good work-out” as I shovel. I’m starting to thing that investing in a snowblower is a good idea.

To say that we are surrounded by a winter wonderland is almost an understatement. Everything is covered in white.

Bailey (our Lab/Beagle mix, so we call her a Labradeagle), and I got lost in the woods for a while for a late Sunday afternoon snowshoe after a frustrating weekend of Jeep repairs. There is nothing like enjoying the absolute silence in the snow covered woods to escape and refocus. It’s the same therapeutic feeling as getting lost on the water. With the busy holidays, the travel, the shopping and the house guests, go get lost in the woods for awhile…it helps.

I’m a Slacker

Friday, December 19th, 2008

It is December 19th, and I have not picked a Snapshots & Scenery winner for November yet. Do here’s the deal…the first person to upload a photo on the new Snoloha Community section (you have to create a profile if you haven’t done so already)…WINS! I’m trying to move all the Snapshots & Scenery photos to the Community area. It’s a much easier upload process, and you are able to create and share slide shows.

There you have it. Visit the Community. Create a profile. Upload a photo(s). Win!

Snoloha in Flagler Beach

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008

Here’s Mark, aka “TikiTender“, sporting his Snoloha SnoMon T at the Flagler Beach Christmas parade, and in his SnoTiki T way back on election day.

Thanks for the support Mark. And remember to check out Snoloha the Drink, concocted by the TikiTender himself.

20% Off Fleece Plus One Equals Free Shipping

Take advantage of the 20% Snoloha Fleece sale…then, add any hat, t-shirt, longsleeve or hoodie…and shipping is FREE. Does that sound like a complicated promo, or what?!

So… go ahead and shop away.

And, there’s still a fair amount of 50% off gear on the website that you should take a look at…because to be honest, I’m really tired of looking at it.

Lastly, be sure to visit the Snoloha Community, create a profile and upload photos for a chance to win free gear.

Whole Lotta Sno

Friday, December 12th, 2008

Talk about the “Sno” in Snoloha. We have so much of it here in Traverse City, that I’m runnin’ out of room to shovel it. It is absolutely beautiful up here right now. Everything is snow-covered. This is the perfect winter thus far for outdoor fun. The only reason to stay indoors, is to warm up next to the fire. Otherwise, get off the couch and go play!
